Simply Love with the Cuties

Helloo, thank you for visiting today...hope you've had a lovely weekend!

I was a very lucky me on Saturday, as my hubby took me on a night out to the theatre. We went to the White Rock theatre in Hastings to see Joseph and his amazing technicolour dreamcoat....and it was absolutely terrific. It is one of my fave  musicals having learned all of the songs at school (many years ago) then going to see it in the 90's at the London Palladium with Jason Donovan, and then Phillip Schofield.....have to say that Joe Mcelderry was a fantastic Joseph!

Anyway, onto today's card and it is time for
A Little Extra Cutie-ness
our theme this time is
Simply Love
our wonderful sponsor is

  • You've got my heart - from Sasayaki Glitter
  • coloured with promarkers
  • papers from a Me to You
  • MB Precious hearts die
we have already had some gorgeous entries, but there is still plenty of time to hop on over and join in the fun!

Claudia Loves Christmas......and so do I!

Good Morning my lovely blog chums, thank you so much for the very kind comments on my post yesterday as I now go headlong into year 8 of Blogging!

I am feeling very Happy that it's Friday - the company I work for (in the real World) recently changed my working hours, so I decided to look upon this as an opportunity to reduce the hours and days that I do and I now no longer work on a Thursday or Friday. This is only my second week of doing this but last week was brilliant - having the extra couple of days off, I was completely on top of the housework, the dogs had longer walks, I felt soooo much less tired and when I went back into work on Monday I felt much happier in myself and actually enjoyed the three days that I'm in. I also managed to spend time last weekend making a wedding card for an order (note to self - don't forget to take a photo!!) and doing a bit of colouring.....a little bit of which, is featured on today's card......
I have used Claudia Loves Christmas, from Little Miss Muffet digi stamps - isn't she adorable....and is an absolute treat to colour, so will be appearing here a lot more over the course of the year.

Today's card features:

  • Claudia Loves Christmas
  • coloured with promarkers
  • glossy accents
  • Stardust Stickles
  • Martha Stewart border punch - oldie, can't recall the name
  • sentiment created on Serif page plus
  • Doodlebug Twine
  • magazine freebie paper
  • button from stash
I would like to enter these challenges:
In the Pink - Dies/Punches (only the one punch used, but hoping that the Pinkness makes us for it!)
ABC Christmas Challenge - C & D creature and dimension - my Creature name also starts with a C and I hope that the button adds Dimension

Cheerio for now, and have a lovely day xx

7 Today!

Hi, hope you're having a great week so far!

I am having a little Celebration here, as today is my...........

It doesn't seem like that long ago, that I was on a week off from work, quite a few of my friends from the Docrafts forum were already blogging, so I decided to take the plunge - and I am so happy that I did!!! This little part of my PC has become such an important part of my life, over these years my life has seen some incredibly happy times, and then some not so happy times too but blogging has been a constant, and in a weird cyber-y sort of way has been an arm around my shoulder throughout. When I first started I never thought I'd be "brave" enough to enter a blog challenge - but I did, and it was fab and eventually I even won one, then I never thought I'd be "good enough" to be offered a Design Team position, but I did get the offer of a spot - and then another one shortly after, I'm sure my 7 years ago brain, would have exploded at the thought of running TWO challenges -  and yet here we are now with the Cutie Pie challenge doing fantastically well and even getting a mention in Papercraft Inspirations magazine and Christmas with the Cuties growing in popularity and just about to have challenge #3. I have been fortunate and blessed to have made some amazing and wonderful friends, through this world of blogging,,,,,and if I could have one wish I would visit you all in person to give you the biggest of hugs, but I hope you will accept my Thanks and virtual hugs. Thank you also to this little blog for being more than a URL to me.

My blog name sums me up perfectly, I am very much One Happy Little Crafter - and I have much to be Happy about and Thankful for.

There really was only one theme I could use for today's card..........

Today's card features:
  • Dan with flowers, from Digistamp Boutique
  • coloured with promarkers
  • older papers from stash - not entirely sure of "make"
  • ribbons from stash
  • sentiment from LC designs
  • Dovecraft acrylic dome stickers

I would like to enter:
Thank you for stopping by today, and also if you have ever visited me over the last 7 years - your vists, lovely comments and support mean the world to me xx

Anyone care to join me for a bit of Carol singing

Hello and Good Morning - hope you've had a lovely weekend.

We had a smashing weekend.....on Friday we had another little theatre trip to London - this time we went to see Beautiful - The Carol King Story. This was a Christmas pressie for Megan and I have to say, it was absolutely brilliant. I didn't know a great deal about Carol King beforehand, and had no idea that she was behind so many songs that we're all so familiar with - fantastic performances from all of the cast and this is definately one I would recommend. I have always been a fan of musicals and we are very lucky to be so close to London and have these little treats from time to time.

Still on a musical theme and with another type of Carol in mind, I am very excited to tell you all about our new Christmas with the Cuties challenge - our theme this time

Christmas Carols and Songs

We've all got our favourites haven't we - as far as Carols are concerned mine would be O Holy Night, and when it comes to a Christmas song it would have to be Fairytale of New York all day long.

This challenge will be sponsored by

Who have become great friends of The Cutie Pie challenge, so we are delighted to have them with us at CWTC.

My own DT card is based on Frosty The Snowman and features
  • Joanna sheen signature dies - snowflake
  • the papers are from a very old Papermania Christmas stack - I actually bought it in a Paper Mill Shop, when they were still open, so that's how long ago!!!
  • I have used the reverse side of printed linen ribbon
  • sentiment is a LC designs mini stamp
  • Dovecraft acrylic dome stickers
Our design team have been super busy creating some amazing cards to share with you,so I do hope you will hop on over for a visit.

I would like to enter the following challenges
Christmas card challenges - challenge #4
abc christmas challenge - Anything Goes or Beginning with B
Christmas at Sweet Stampin - Anything Christmas Goes

Hi....hope you have had a great weekend!

So, it's A Little Extra Cutie-ness Inspiration day, the theme for our current challenge is
Winter Warmers
and here is my DT card....
When we get snow here, the first thing I want to do is put the car keys up on the shelf, turn up the central heating and hibernate - but our Cameron is much more like the lil' guy in this stamp, and when we had snow last week and his school was closed on Friday - he was straight out with the sledge!

To kick the New Year off, we have two lovely sponsors and they are
who are offering three gorgeous digi stamps of the winners choice

My DT card features:

Do hope you will join us for this challenge, we have two fab sponsors and some amazing DT work  Maybe you will choose to make a Winter themed card, or a card featuring something that would warm you in the colder weather or maybe you will choose to focus completely on the "warmer" side and go full on sunshine days in the garden!!!! New Beginnings!

Hello there, my lovely friends......the first two weeks of this new year seem to have flown already, and whilst this is my first blog post of the year, I have been keeping myself out of mischief with a bit of  DT work and having a bit of a re-jig at home that I will tell you more about later.

This post is all about New Beginnings which is just as well as this is the theme for the new
This in itself is a new beginning for me, as I am moving over from Team 2 to Team 1.
I chose to make a retirement card for this challenge, as I think this sums up what retirement should be - a new beginning.

Our DT have made some amazing cards to inspire you, so I do hop you will hop on over and play along!

Our sponsors are
My DT card features:
  • Patches - Done Fishing from Crafty Sentiments
  • coloured with Promarkers
  • sentiment uses Unkept font
  • papers from an old Forever Friends Christmas stack
  • ribbon from stash
Another New for me is my New Craft Desk - since we moved into this house I have been limited to storing  my craft stash in the corner of our bedroom and having to work on the top of a chest of drawers or haul stuff downstairs to our dining table. However, as laptops have replaced PC's in our home - I decided to set up camp on our old computer desk - and am loving having this little area to loose myself in - would you like to see it.......

Ok, so its not a massive craft room (that will come in a few years time when the kids move out!) this will do me nicely till then.

I would like to enter my card into:
Crafty Sentiments - AG
A Gem of a Challenge - celebrate something new
The Male Room challenge - AG
i love promarkers - something new
Aud Sentiments challenge - AG add a sentiment
What's on your Workdesk Wednesday - not so much a "what's on" but a "here it is" lol
